Elementary school, scheduled to open in the fall of 2010,
provides added educational benefit to families residing
in Alston Park at New Riverside and Lawton Station, both

The
highly anticipated new Pritchardville Elementary School, which
is located off Hwy. 170 on Evan Way behind Wendy's and Parker's
gas station, is slated to open in the fall of 2010. The attendance
area will include all of the areas along the S.C. 170 corridor,
all neighborhoods off S.C. 46 from Rose Dhu Creek west to
the New River, all neighborhoods on Old Miller Road; Vista
View and all the neighborhoods along 46 west of Buck Island
Rd.
Charles Johnson, the assistant principal of Robert Smalls
Middle School since 2007, has been named the principal of
Bluffton's newest elementary school by the Beaufort County
Board of Education. Johnson says, -"I'm very excited
about the school year coming up and getting to know the children.
My goal is to use all venues possible to give the community
an opportunity to get to know me." Johnson has expressed
an interest in involving members of the community in helping
to set the expectations for Pritchardville Elementary School.
"The school doesn't just belong to the students or the
parents, but to everyone in the community."
Children residing in Alston Park at New Riverside and Lawton
Station will now attend the brand new Pritchardville Elementary
School, which promises to be a thriving learning environment.
The close proximity to both Village Park Homes communities
is an added convenience for parents of elementary-aged school
